Saguaro Harvesting Sculpture

This handwoven sculpture is by Tohono O'odham artists Fred and Della Cruz from Sells, Arizona.

• Della & Fred Cruz are known for their unique, figurative, sculptural baskets. This lovely figure  measures approximately 8.5 inches tall and 7.5 inches in diameter at widest point. 
  
• Plant materials are hand gathered from the Sonoran Desert
• Green inner coils are native Beargrass and the white, split stitches are of sun-bleached Soaptree Yucca, the green stitches are unbleached Yucca. The black material used for facial detail and decorative trim is from Devil's Claw pod
• Note: Keep away from sunlight to maintain color variations.
