Desert Quail with Saguaro Woven Sculpture by Fred Cruz

This handwoven basket sculpture is by Fred Cruz and measures approximately 7 inches at its highest point inches with a 5.25 inch base.

• Plant materials are hand gathered from the Sonoran Desert for basket weaving.
• The interior green coils (warp) are native Beargrass and the white stitches (weft) woven around the coils are sun-bleached Soaptree Yucca, the green stitching used in the design is unbleached Soaptree Yucca. 
• The black material used for the facial details is Devil's Claw pod. Rare red Banana Yucca root is used to indicate Saguaro Fruit.
• Keep away from sunlight to maintain color.
